The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique held, in November 2025 in the city of Maputo, the 20th edition of the Annual Private Sector Conference (CASP), a decisive event for the promotion of structural reforms. The Annual Private Sector Conference brought together more than two thousand participants, including members of the Government, representatives of international financial institutions, and national and foreign investors, to discuss reforms aimed at relaunching the national economy. Considering the importance of the meeting for the country’s development, the management of Portos do Norte was fully committed and made every effort to be part of this highly renowned event, in which it acted as a logistics component of the conference, recognizing it as a platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors in the search for solutions that strengthen the business environment.
The meeting was held under the theme “Reforming to Compete: Moving Towards Economic Relaunch”, with the objective of ensuring structural reforms that promote competitiveness and stimulate private investment. CASP participants had the opportunity to discuss pressing issues in the Mozambican economy, highlighting public–private dialogue, strategic partnerships, and business opportunities. Meanwhile, Portos do Norte was represented by Dr.
Leonilde Loide Bazar, Director of Administration and Human Resources, who took part in the panel discussion on exploring investment opportunities for the expansion of transport infrastructure and connectivity. Business connections demonstrated that there is room to invest in sectors such as Agriculture, Industry, Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, the Blue Economy, Tourism, Information Technologies, among other areas of activity. Portos do Norte received a Certificate of Recognition for its collaboration and commitment demonstrated in ensuring the successful realization of the 20th Annual Private Sector Conference.
This certificate was presented by His Excellency the Minister of Economy, Basílio Muhate.
